Under the supervision of the Director, Employee Development, the Human Resources Advisor - Recruitment will be primarily involved in recruiting new talent.  Campus recruitment activities at Canadian institutions of higher learning and trade schools will be an integral part of this person's responsibilities. 

 

The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: 

 

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment 

  • Play an active role throughout the staffing process for vacant positions, in accordance with ANDRITZ’s recruitment policies and practices;  
  • Stay at the forefront of recruitment trends and methods, including through a proactive talent sourcing and direct outreach approach;  
  • Develop, recommend, and implement targeted sourcing strategies to attract and identify top talent;  
  • Represent ANDRITZ at networking events and job fairs held, in accordance with the annual calendar, at universities, CEGEPs, and trade schools across Canada;  
  • Contribute to the development of salary recommendations that are consistent, equitable, and aligned with organizational practices;  
  • Actively promote career opportunities to employees and support internal talent mobility;  
  • Monitor recruitment trends and best practices to continuously enhance recruitment approaches;  
  • Recommend innovative solutions that enhance the candidate experience and improve the effectiveness of recruitment initiatives;  
  • Participate in special projects related to the priorities and initiatives of the Employee Development Department;  
  • Collaborate in the implementation of internal and external communication strategies.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or industrial relations or a related field; 
  • Other combinations of education and experience may be considered; 
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, combined with a strong interest in engineering recruitment; 
  • Recruitment advisory experience is essential;  
  • Knowledge of the university or college environment is a strong asset;  
  • Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills;  
  • Excellent priority management skills and ability to meet deadlines;  
  • Strong customer service and collaboration skills;  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills—English–French bilingualism is required;  
  • Diplomacy, empathy, discretion, and creativity;  
  • Positive attitude and willingness to travel occasionally within Quebec and across Canada;  
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule based on recruitment activities and project timelines; 
  • Knowledge of integrated HR systems, such as SuccessFactors or Workday, is an asset.
