THE ANDRITZ GROUP is a globally leading supplier of plants, equipment, and services for hydropower stations, the pulp and paper industry, the metalworking and steel industries, and solid/liquid separation in the municipal and industrial sectors. QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Self-motivated with a strong ability to learn and adapt
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to design accuracy
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Major responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
- Utilizes CAD software to design new products and make improvements to existing products
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing team members to ensure designs are technically sound and economically feasible
- Creates detailed engineering drawings and specifications for products manufactured in Andritz facilities and by outside vendors
- Travels to customer sites to obtain technical information, field measurements, and other data required for equipment design projects
- Travels to customer sites to assist with equipment installation, troubleshooting, and technical support
- Travels to customer sites to assist with chip quality testing and consulting
- Develop designs in line with company procedures, engineering standards, and applicable client specifications and regulations
- Provides technical support to internal teams, manufacturing personnel, and customers
- Works under the direction and supervision of the Engineering Manager
