POSITION SUMMARY ANDRITZ is seeking a dynamic Piping Lead Engineer to take care of essential engineering tasks for our Clean Air Technologies division. We are looking for a professional with wealthy experience in Plant Piping layout and Detailed Design. Your deep understanding of designing plant solutions will play a crucial role for the success of our projects. This exciting opportunity is based at Chennai. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Define piping classes depending on project standards. • Create 3D pipe routing outline and detail drawings at product and plant level. • Provide static and dynamic pipe stress analysis / analysis inputs. • Piping design in E3D, review and release of designs under consideration of contractual and internal requirements. • Close collaboration with colleagues in other departments and locations. • Coordinate the deliverables with other relevant disciplines (layout, automation, civil, etc.) • Participate in safety evaluations and the preparation of installation procedures if required. • Support procurement by preparing information for inquires. • Optimize and develop new design concepts in collaboration with process engineering and R&D. • Take the responsibility to coordinate mechanical engineering tasks within projects depending on your experience. SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED • Degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline at least fifteen (15) to eighteen (18) years of experience. • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in leading piping Engineering projects within Power plant / FGD / Carbon Capture industry is essential. • Hands on experience in Aveva E3D is a must. Page: 2 (total 2) • Knowledge on international codes and norms like ASME, ISO and EN particularly ASME B31 and EN13480 is essential. • Knowledge about CAE Tools for static and dynamic piping analysis, experience with Caeser/ Rohr2 is an added advantage. • Ability to consult with customers and notified bodies about technical design requirements is expected. • Experience to perform acceptance tests and to supervise the installation during start-up. • Strong communication, analytical and planning skills. • Fluent in English. • Willingness to travel for project requirement.
