The heart of Andritz Pulp and Paper Italy s.r.l. operations is  based in Lucca, one of the main hubs of the global tissue industry (the so called tissue valley). The company specializes in the design and supply of advanced tissue and paper machinery, including complete production lines,rewinders and converting systems, roll handling and packaging systems,as well as automation and control solutions. In addition, it provides comprehensive after sales services and upgrades for both for tissue and paper industies. 

Area of tasks, responsibility, and goals in the organizational area

Managing the procurement of materials and services required for production activities, ensuring continuity of supply, quality standards, and cost optimization.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

The candidate will be responsible for:

 

  • Developing and managing the supplier base (national and international), building stable and long-term relationships.
  • Independently conducting commercial negotiations and securing the best purchasing conditions, with a strong focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Supporting the Purchasing Manager in the management and updating of framework/open contracts with key suppliers.
  • Monitoring purchase orders and deliveries to ensure material availability and production continuity.
  • Performing market and competitor analysis to support purchasing strategy reviews and procurement planning.
  • Managing project budgets, analyzing variances, and proposing corrective actions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Additionally, the role will include:

 

  • Managing procurement activities related to industrial plants, piping systems, electrification, automation, and dedicated components.
  • Leading complex negotiations for the purchase and implementation of turnkey plants, including installation, commissioning, and testing services.
  • Coordinating with the Technical Department, Project Managers, and specialized suppliers to ensure technical, economic, and scheduling alignment of supplies.
  • Carrying out technical and economic evaluation of supplier offers, verifying specifications, and negotiating contractual conditions related to complex systems and industrial equipment.

 

Education /job experience:

  • Technical High school Diploma
  • Relevant experience in the field

 

Collaboration with other entities:

Project management, sales, technical departments in the organizational unit, quality assurance, management functions of the company

Expectation / requirements of the job holder:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and analytical mindset.
  • Basic ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
  • Previous experience in engineer-to-order/manufacturing companies is preferred.
  • Experience in the industrial and paper sector (Tissue or Paper & Board) is considered a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of English.
