The Opportunity
The Project Manager – Digital Products & Solutions (Pulp & Paper) is responsible for leading and managing projects focused on the implementation of advanced process control strategies to optimize industrial processes. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
The preferred location for this position is Alpharetta, GA, however, we will welcome highly skilled and experienced candidates residing close to a major airport, anywhere in the United States.
What You Will Be Doing
Here’s an overview of your responsibilities and how you can leverage your expertise:
- Develop project plans outlining scope, timelines, budget, and resource requirements.
- Identify and assess project risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Define project milestones and deliverables.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including engineers, technologists, technicians, and support staff.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the project team and the customer.
- Ensure clear communication of project objectives, progress, and deliverables to customers.
- Address customer concerns and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently.
- Monitor and control project costs to stay within budget constraints.
- Provide regular financial updates to stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of solutions and adherence to project specifications.
- Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of reliable and secure industrial control systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of control systems to meet industry standards and regulations.
- Stay current with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Ensure that projects comply with relevant safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and project reports.
- Create and update project documentation in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Coordinate training programs for end-users and support teams.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance as needed.

What We’re Looking For
When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in advanced process control or industrial automation
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Pulp & Paper industry
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management; PMP certification an asset
- Experience with Metris technology strongly desired
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills (English)
- Ability to travel frequently, as required
- Valid passport and ability to travel up to 50%
- Authorized to work in the United States
