The Role Under the direction of the Working Shop Supervisor , the Machinist I (Lathe Operator) is responsible for Initiating machining processes, tool selections, feeds, and speeds for a variety of materials.

 ▪ Maintain production rates according to established standards.

▪ Notify Supervisor with any problems of procedures or equipment.

▪ Performs set-ups and operate Manual Lathe Machine.

▪ Maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.

Job Specific Competencies

▪ Capable of using a micrometer, calipers, and hand tools.

▪ Ability to read blueprints.

▪ Skilled on an overhead crane. Education and Experience

▪ High school diploma or equivalent. ▪

1 year of machine shop experience.
