JOB RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS
ANDRITZ Farina Presse is looking for a resource who will be inserted as Technical & Mechanical Engineer in the Mechanical Technical Office and will contribute to the design, development and improvement of presses and forging lines. He will work closely with the design, production, service and project management team, with the aim of ensuring reliable, innovative technical solutions that adhere to the standards of the ANDRITZ Group. The candidate will perform mechanical design activities of components and functional groups of presses and forging lines ensuring compliance with technical specifications, regulations and customer requirements. He/she will carry out structural analyses, calculations and sizing checks, participate in the definition of materials, treatments and optimal construction solutions and analyze critical issues by proposing improvement solutions and support technical problem solving. He/she will work in close collaboration with production, assembly and purchasing department to ensure consistency between design, production processes and procurement, will prepare and update the technical documentation of the project: bills of materials, material lists, technical specifications, manuals. He/she will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the product and process by proposing new solutions and technologies and will participate in technical meetings and project reviews ensuring accuracy, reliability and punctuality.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- The “ideal” Candidate does have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (preferred) and/or Technical diploma with proven experience in the role (at least 5 years).
- Experience gained in companies manufacturing presses, machine tools, or complex industrial plants is preferred.
- Good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken) is essential to carry out his/her job in the best possible way within a reality that is part of a Multinational Group.
- Excellent knowledge of 3D CAD systems (preferably Siemens NX, Creo, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of the main applicable technical standards (EN, ISO, Machinery Directive).
- Good knowledge of the Office package (mainly Excel).
- Knowledge (preferred) of AS400 management software.
- Attitude to team working.
- Responsibility, reliability, determination and punctuality in meeting deadlines.
- Flexibility and adaptability, problem solving orientation.
