What We Offer:
- To assist customers with on-site troubleshooting and repair of existing Schuler equipment or the assembly and startup of new Schuler presses, as well as customer training. Also, establish a solid relationship with customers and provide a point of contact for technical support within the company. Applies mechanical and hydraulic knowledge to test, troubleshoot and repair systems and equipment. Read prints, drawings and schematics and preforms basic calculations. Supports service sales by identifying and presenting various products, parts, and services as defined by group objectives. Maintains and develops strong customer relationships to ensure positive customer service satisfaction measurements.
- Repair or assemble Schuler products and equipment and various assemblies of parts of various types and sizes. Technicians will be required to perform mechanical, assembly, hydraulic and pneumatic assembly and test functions.
- Maintain familiarity with general machine assembly, including fluid technology, via training at SIC or at other Schuler operations.
- To be able to assemble via drawings, specifications, bill of materials and through written and verbal instruction.
- Develop knowledge of Schuler Standards and Schuler Service Manual formats.
- Assist Schuler affiliates in determining required repair or spare parts at customers.
- Perform and document Press Preventative Maintenance Inspections and help develop PM protocols as required.
- Submit field reports and/or documents as required by the Field Operations Manager in a timely manner.
- Report any perceived unsafe operating condition on Schuler Presses in operation.
- Act responsibly and strive to cooperate with others to solve common tasks in the field.
What We Are Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
- Journeyman certification preferred
- At least 2-5 year of related experience required.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic required
- (Heavy) Machine building experience required.
- Preventative maintenance and machine troubleshoot experience.
- Able to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Able to facilitate discussions and give presentations with highly technical content. Presents clearly and informatively.
- Valid Passport, Driver’s License
- Willingness to travel in US, Canada, and Mexico. This position is considered 100% travel.
