Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive sales of both standard and customized ANDRITZ Schuler equipment across the USA and Canada within the Single Presses and Laser Division. Focus areas include E-Mobility and Laser Blanking markets, covering Motor Lamination, Notching, Cupping Presses, Battery Can Lines, Bi-Polar Plate Lines, and both Conventional and Laser Blanking Lines, targeting selected Tier customers.
- Manage existing accounts and develop new business by organizing daily schedules to engage with current and prospective clients.
- Collaborate closely with the Service and Modernization department to ensure seamless customer support.
- Support Global Key Account Managers, Market Segment Managers, and Product Managers. May serve as a local Key Account Manager.
- Coordinate strategic and operational sales activities with the Director of Sales and the SIC/BCN team.
- Provide regular updates to management through sales reports, call logs, weekly plans, and market analyses.
- Monitor competitive activity, including pricing, product launches, delivery timelines, and marketing strategies.
- Maintain and update customer installed base data.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships across all Schuler product lines.
- Evaluate technical specifications in RFQs and assess feasibility in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Analyze customer preferences to tailor sales strategies effectively.
- Travel as required to support sales and customer engagement.
- Recommend product, service, or policy changes based on market feedback and competitive analysis.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define sales quotas and strategies.
- Prepare and manage the annual sales budget.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
- Resolve customer issues by identifying root causes, proposing solutions, and reporting outcomes.
- Stay current with industry trends through workshops, publications, and professional networking.
- Maintain accurate sales records and customer data.
- Contribute to team success by supporting cross-functional initiatives.
- Utilize CRM and project tracking tools consistently; ensure compliance with quotation, contract review, and customer satisfaction protocols.
- Lead or support technical presentations and product demonstrations for customers.
- Partner with the Marketing team to develop customer-specific workshops and training sessions.
- Assist in updating product marketing materials, including presentations, installation references, and technical documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, perferably in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in capital equipment sales and product management.
- Strong knowledge of press forming and blanking equipment markets, technologies, and applications.
- Experience with laser cutting equipment for blanks is a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
