FIELD TECHNICIAN - ANDRITZ GOUDA

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Field Technician you are deployed worldwide in building up and putting into operation machines and / or complete production lines that are delivered to the customer by ANDRITZ Gouda. Service and maintenance are also part of your work. These activities are performed entirely under your own responsibility, often with the support of employees of the customer. On location you are the contact person of the customer and you arrange everything needed to make your assignment a success. The assignments can vary in duration from a few days to around 4 weeks - with some exceptions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical engineering is an advantage.
• Good communication skills and customer-oriented attitude.
• Good command of the English language. This is important to:
  • being able to consult with the customer about technical matters
  • give instructions and technical information to users of the machines
  • prepare reports on the work, including hours and material accounting and adjustments to the machine
• Experience in machine construction and installation technology is an advantage.
• Great flexibility and commitment due to the international character of ANDRITZ Gouda and the various product groups. You are willing to spend at least 80% of your time abroad.
• Preferably you are living in Asia of America.
   

TRAINING

The work is highly specialized and it takes some time to perform it independently.  ANDRITZ Gouda provides good guidance and thorough internal training.
