The incumbent shall be working as a part of the technical Sales / Proposals or Business Development team and functionally reporting to the Head of Business Development. He will demonstrate accountability of functional, business, and broad company objectives primarily targeted toward pumped storage projects (PSP).
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities, map pump storage projects across India and identify and develop viable PSP opportunities, and position favourably technical solutions.
- The incumbent will identify, coordinate with global R&D and communicate the customer’s requirements with the sales team and provide support to the Regional Managers for budgetary proposals and studies during pre-sales development.
- Interaction with Government Departments / Power utilities, Private power organizations (IPPs) in the state for the promotion of PSPs in coordination with regional managers.
- Develop strategic technical solutions & promotions in response to market trends and consumer requirements.
- Keep track and report market conditions in connecting to PSPs, Energy environment.
- Marketing activities (presentations, business development, marketing penetration, relationship management, participating in important fares) for Pump Storage technology.
Required Skill Set:
- Should have basic knowledge of hydraulics and hydro-turbines.
- Should have clear communication skills with proficiencies in written and verbal communications
- Should have a good understanding of the current energy market and trends.
- The incumbent should possess good interpersonal skills and should have worked with cross-functional teams and should have inter-cultural exposure.
- Has a knack to build strong customer relationships, facilitate collaborations and engage with the team in collaborative problem-solving.
- Must be willing to travel domestically in the assigned territory.
- 12 -15 year experience in technical sales or marketing/business development in the hydropower sector
