Job title:  Project Controller- Intern

The Project Cost Controller works alongside the Project Manager to oversee the proper execution of the project. Tasks are of mainly Financial and Commercial (Insurance, Tax, and Contractual) nature:

• Project cost tracking and controlling;
• Project reporting (internal and external);
• Risk mitigation and support of project strategy;
• Foreign exchange management;
• Create and maintain projects in SAP;
• Produce project milestone invoice in accordance with project terms and conditions;
• Change management, including preparation of change order request and negotiating settlement in front of customers or suppliers;
• Assist Project Manager with Project Setup functions within financial and project management software systems
• Prepare work breakdown structures and budgets for new projects and project amendments
• Assist project manager with invoicing and following up on Accounts Receivables
• Provide financial evaluations and interpretation of financial metrics, including preparation of Estimates at Completion (EAC)
• Enter sales and financial information into SAP

Education And Experience

• Strong client liaison skills, project management and team leadership;
• Extensive understanding of the construction industry and a talent for negotiation;
• Good communication skills (oral & written);
• Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and in cross functional teams;
• Knowledge of business-related commercial and financial issues;
• Strong knowledge of excel;
• Knowledge of insurance and legal issues (an asset);
• Project Management skills (an asset);
• SAP or other ERP experience (an asset).
