The Plant Accounting Manager position plays a key role in the Divisional Finance Group in completing a variety of accounting assignments, analytical studies and reporting. This position works closely with the General Manager and Divisional Controller in maintaining the integrity of the financial results and proper management reporting. 


Specific Responsibilities:


  • Analytical reviews and reporting, both ongoing and special requests.
  • Product Cost monitoring, tracking, and reporting
  • Ongoing responsibilities for financial accounting closing and reporting, including reconciliation of accounts 
  • Accounting liaison with corporate finance team and related sites. 
  • Oversee collection and reporting of labor hours for payroll and cost reporting
  • Participate in monthly evaluation of business performance.
  • Provide support for maintaining proper revenue/cost recognition timing.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting process
  • Internal and External Audit support
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies.
  • This position should develop into an SAP power user role.
  • Other finance related tasks and support functions as required.
  • Some travel between sites required.

Position Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required. CPA is preferred
  • 5 to 7+ years of progressive accounting/financial analysis experience
  • MRP experience required, extensive SAP experience highly preferred
  • Multi-currency exposure a plus
  • Experience with multi-site accounting and reporting.
  • Expert Excel Skills are required.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills

Work is primarily conducted in an climate controlled, office environment, however, will require time in a manufacturing plant with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes. Candidate is required to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, ascend/descend stairs, and routinely lift up to of 25 lbs. Must possess excellent mobility, solid visual acuity, good hearing, coordination, and manual dexterity, and ability to endure extended work hours when required (working safely and efficiently at all times as well as wearing required personal protective equipment).  All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodation(s).
