Andritz Chile is looking for an "Application Engineer" who will be responsible for development and configuration of optimisation strategies for various processes, including continuous support of Andritz applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

- Maintain and update Andritz optimisation solutions.
- Develop and configure Andritz optimisation solutions.
- Identify shrinkage, gaps and propose improvements to current applications, using complementary Andritz analytics tools.
- Provide ongoing support of Andritz applications.
- Diagnose performance and propose improvements to Andritz optimisation systems.
- Prepare monthly/weekly project/service reports.
- Determine the main causes of variability: plant design problems or limitations, main measured disturbances, sensor-actuator failure and process failures.
- Prepare and document the optimisation strategies developed: Narrative and control philosophy, integration requirements, COM and PEM protocols, system operation and maintenance manuals.

 

Job Requirements:

 

- Civil Engineer Automation, Electrical, Chemical, Metallurgist or similar.

- At least 2 years of experience in similar positions.

- Intermediate English level.

- Knowledge in database applications, applied statistics, optimisation systems and industrial processes.
- Experience and knowledge in industrial process control software and hardware, system optimisation and computer networks.
- Familiarity with different types of integrated control systems, DCS/PLC, PIMS.
