RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Support the development projects, proposals and contracts, for flow simulations and analysis of hydraulic passageways of turbines, for new units and rehabilitation projects;
  • Evaluation and development of tools, applications and methods related to hydraulic design, flow analysis, FSI and other related activities;
  • Implementation of new applications for hydraulic project execution teams;
  • Validation of CFD tools using experimental data;
  • Develop hydraulic design of turbines components.

 

 

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

 

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.  Master’s degree his highly desirable;
  • Very good knowledge and background in fluid or aerodynamics;
  • Experiences in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics application), FSI (Fluid-Structure Interaction) and/or knowledge in turbo-machinery are considered assets;
  • Interest in programming with ideally some experience in Linux and Python scripting;
  • Knowledge of signal processing, of dynamics and of optimization loops are considered assets;
  • Creativity, problem solving skills, and demonstrated consistent attention to detail;
  • Well-developed  teamwork & communication skills (oral & written);
  • Self-directed;
  • Fluency in French and English – spoken and written.
