Purpose Statement
This expectation of this position is to perform a wide variety of tasks including loading and unloading of outgoing and incoming delivery vehicles. The job requires selecting products from the warehouse, load and secure goods to pallets, move inventory to delivery area, and load merchandise. The associate will unload stock from delivery vehicles, and transport to and store in designated warehouse positions. The associate will keep their work environment clean and tidy at all times, and comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures. To ensure success you need the ability to follow instructions and operate in an orderly manner.

 Job responsibilities and tasks
• Operate forklift or use hand truck/pallet jack to move, convey, or hoist shipments.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to organizational standards.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat and clean. Organize warehouse and work area for cleanliness at all times.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.

• Safely perform assigned warehouse functions utilizing established processes, procedures, and tools while meeting performance expectations for productivity, quality, safety and attendance.
• Maintain on-time performance with high volume of orders.
• Work overtime as job requires during peak periods and return to work after hours to make emergency shipments, when required.
• Functions may include, but are not limited to unloading, put-away, sorting, labeling, picking, packing, replenishing, shipping, making boxes, etc.

Education, professional experience, and qualification preferred/required
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Have a minimum of 6-12 months of warehouse or related experience.
• PC proficient with various software packages such as MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook (strongly preferred).                                                                                                                                               

• Ability to read blueprints and drawings (strongly preferred).
• Comply with all Company policies, procedures, safety and quality requirements, and regard confidentiality at all times.

• Represent Company interests continuously and be sensitive to customer satisfaction (understand strong sense of urgency and importance of follow-up).
• Possess strategic, logical, and methodical thinking for probelm solving, organization, time management, prioritization, and independent decisionmaking, while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment (all to support clients and strategic company initiatives);
• Communicate effectively (verbal & written - at all levels), work independently or as a team member, maintain a high degree of accuracy while performing under pressure in time sensitive situations.
• Follow direction with little to no supervision.

Physical and Mental Qualifications
Must be able to tolerate an environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and moving equipment. Will also require time in a manufacturing plant with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, heavy duty magnets, welding machines, and manual/remote controlled devices using radio signals. Candidate is required to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, ascend/descend stairs, and routinely lift up to of 50 lbs.

Must possess excellent mobility, solid visual acuity, good hearing, coordination, and manual dexterity, and ability to endure extended work hours when required (working safely and efficiently at all times as well as wearing the required personal protective equipment).
