Purpose Statement

This position will oversee the life cycle of our product, from the development stage through implementation, while keeping the client requirements in check, coordinating with team members, and making sure outcomes are delivered on time and within budget.

 

Job responsibilities and tasks

  • Budget planning for incoming order and margins.
  • Market analysis of existing and possible new markets and obtain competitive information.
  • Acquisition of new customers and representatives by own initiative and/or by corresponding specifications.
  • Support existing customers / representatives.
  • Independent visit planning and organization with creation of visit reports.
  • Determine relevant customer data and create customer profile(s) and classifcation(s).
  • Checking orders for technical and commercial feasibility.
  • Preparation of technically and commercially formulated offers in accordance with the respective valid price lists, market strategy and special customer specifications.
  • Co-responsible supervision of order processing, especially for technical clarification.
  • Regular follow-ups after delivery of orders.
  • Recording and bundling complaints (if necessary on-site inventory and clarification in cooperation with LENSER quality managment department in Germany).
  • Support the commercial department in case of overdue payments by customers.
  • Filing of transactions according to the respective valid rules by classificaiton of offers in ASAP.
  • Participate in preparation of trade fairs, presentations, and stand staffing.
  • Prepare and execute customer presentations and customer/representative trainings.
  • Support customer(s) during visits to Lenser.
  • Must be able to travel domestically, possibly internationally at some point.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Education, professional experience, and qualification preferred/required

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering, or B.S. in Business Administration or  Business Managment with minimum of 5 years experience in related field(s).
  • Must be able to understand and communicate in English.  Secondary language a plus (German / Spanish).
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), with familiarity with SAP and Access, preferred.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements, to include regarding confidentiality at all times.
  • Represent Company interests at all times and be sensitive to customer satisfaction (understand strong sense of urgency and importance of follow-up).
  • Possess strategic, logical, and methodical thinking for probelm solving, organization, time management, prioritization, and independent decision-making skills, while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accurately complete required documentation.

Physical and Mental Qualifications

Position performed in an office and/or home (remote) office environment. Frequent visits to mills and manufacturing facilities are required.  Environment: Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, welding machines, heavy duty magnets and manual/remote controlled devices using radio signals.  Physical conditions for position:  Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, ascend/descend stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs.  Must have visual acuity, excellent mobility, good hearing, manual dexterity, good balance, ability to endure long hours, and wear required personal protective equipment.  All tasks performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
