Summary:

Reporting to the Mechanical Services Manager, this position is responsible for mechanical inspection reporting to customers, management of materials for all work and the scheduling of outsourced repairs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain and order all parts and supplies for individual jobs on an as needed basis.  Maintain and order inventory for stock items in mechanical shop.

• Communicates the schedule and current lead time of outsourced work to customer service personnel/shop floor.

• Works with the Mechanical Services Manager to ensure inspection reports are complete and accurate.

• Visits customer sites as necessary, interfacing with the customers and our ASE group.

• Responsible for all quoting of jobs to customers and sales engineers.

• Manage and schedule outsourced work to machine shops for technical and fiduciary needs.

• Provides updates and reports to the Mechanical Services Manager regarding problems and issues.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the paper industry. This individual must have proven supervisory and leadership abilities, and also be an excellent communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Familiarity with mechanical and machine repairs desired.  Requires knowledge of computers and skilled in Excel and Word.  Proficiency in Solidworks to create detailed drawings is a plus.
