ANDRITZ Metals USA Inc is seeking a learner Small vertical mill operator for our facility in Callery, PA. Under the direction of  Foreman , the learner Small vertical Mill Operator is responsible to set up and operate a Small vertical mill in rough and finish operations on rolls etc.

Requirements

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Key Result Items

• Receives drawings, sketches, instructions, etc. from the foreman or assistant foreman.
• Sets-up the machine from drawings and instructions. Select proper feeds and speeds.
• Loads material into the machine manually or with the aid of the jib hoist. Positions, aligns and clamps as required.
• Operates in rough and finish milling of keyways, grooves, flats etc.
• Uses measuring instruments such a micrometer, squares, indicators etc.
• Unloads finished pieces manually or with the aid of the Jib crane.
• Grind tools as required.
• Moves materials to and from machine area.
• Reports defective material or faulty equipment
• Performs minor repairs or assists in major repairs
• Lubricates equipment and maintain machine and area in a clean and orderly manner
