Requirements

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Key Result Items

• Receives drawings, tapes, and manuscripts.
• Threads tape into tape reader and checks drawings for reference point.
• Uses measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc. checks first piece against drawing for accuracy of tape and checks succeeding pieces as required.
• Reports errors in tape and/or piece, reports defective material, or faulty equipment.
• Moves material to and from machine as required.
• Performs minor repairs and assists in major repairs as required.
• Grinding and changing tools as required.
• Operates machine when necessary
• Lubricates equipment and maintain area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Notify supervisor of any problems with procedures or equipment and recommend changes for improved quality and productivity.
• Maintain high awareness of safety procedures.
• Maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.
• Perform other related duties as necessary

  Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent. Two-year Technical college certificate in machine tool technology or equivalent. One to three years of experience working with CNC milling equipment.
