In addition, we offer comprehensive services in support of customer processes: from replacement parts to complete mill maintenance contracts.
The Brantford Service Centre is searching for a Product Manager within our Refiner Service Team.
The Product Manager is responsible to develop, implement and drive their focused Product business. The business includes equipment rebuilds, upgrades, automation and spare parts including the associated inventory. The role includes commercial, technical, and selling leadership including an ongoing analysis of the market position in each of these areas. The product manager has the role of entrepreneur for the product line and takes ownership for its development.
Responsiblities
- Regional responsibility for profitability and growth of the business in respective product line
- Analyze the market to evaluate own competitiveness, market trends and market share
- Evaluate market price level for rebuilds, upgrades, field service and spares
- Maintain established and develop new customer relations – assure customer satisfaction.
- Promote products, services, and exchange programs and the implementation of new products
- Drive research & development for new products needed in their region
- Evaluate regional marketing material demands, establish with marketing a communication channel (film, newsletter, Leaflets, etc.) and provide supportive content
- Support purchasing and project managers in the repair/make/buy decision for refurbishments
- Provide an annual forecast and growth strategy in line with the product home
- Develop and execute key account plans on an annual basis.
- Supervise on-site equipment installation and trouble shooting
- Document mill visits, prepare quotations, create success storie
- Willingness to travel 30-50%
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in the mechanical field, preferably a Mechanical Engineer or Technologist with equivalent experience
- Experience with refiner equipment (Andritz, Sprout, Bauer, Valmet, etc) an asset
- Sales experience in an industrial setting is a strong asset
- Knowledge and/or experience within the Pulp and Paper or Panelboard Industry is an asset
- Self-driven, motivated, and a willingness to take responsibility
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Good understanding of manufacturing and fabrication drawings
- SAP experience an asset
- Fluency in French is a strong asset
