Join us at an exciting time as we launch a new die plant facility in Windsor, Ontario! We are seeking an experienced Lathe Operator Lead to help guide lathe operations at our state-of-the-art facility. This role combines hands-on machining with team coordination and leadership to ensure production goals and quality standards are met.
What You Will Be Doing
Here’s an overview of your responsibilities and how you can leverage your expertise:
- Perform all duties of a Lathe Operator, including machine setup, operation, inspection, and adjustments.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of lathe operators, promoting safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate daily work assignments and ensure operators follow proper procedures.
- Monitor production output and assist in troubleshooting technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Communicate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams on production status and needs.

What We're Looking For
When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
- Proven experience operating CNC or manual lathe machines
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience in a manufacturing or machining environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate work among team members
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
