Join us at an exciting time as we launch a new die plant facility in Windsor, Ontario! We are seeking detail-oriented and dependable Heat Treat Operators to support the setup, operation, and monitoring of heat-treating equipment. In this hands-on role, you will help ensure that metal components meet strict quality, hardness, and durability standards. Positions are available on both day and afternoon shifts.

 

What You Will Be Doing

 

Here’s an overview of your responsibilities and how you can leverage your expertise:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor heat-treating furnaces and equipment according to specifications
  • Load and unload metal parts into furnaces, following established thermal cycles
  • Follow written work instructions and procedures to ensure consistent results
  • Perform in-process and post-process inspections to verify hardness and structural integrity
  • Maintain accurate documentation of processing parameters and results
  • Support equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting as needed
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production and quality targets
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines
  • Embody, demonstrate, and reinforce the #1ANDRITZway core values and behaviors and promote a positive work environment

What We're Looking For

 

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:

  • Basic knowledge of heat-treating processes or willingness to learn through training
  • Ability to operate and monitor furnaces and related thermal processing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures and safety protocols
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work in high-temperature environments
  • Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or metalworking environments is an asset
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Willingness to work either day or afternoon shift
