Join us at an exciting time as we launch a new die plant facility in Windsor, Ontario! We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Heat Treat Operator Lead to oversee and perform heat-treating operations. In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for supervising the setup, operation, and maintenance of heat-treating equipment while ensuring that all metal parts meet required hardness and durability specifications.

What You Will Be Doing

Here’s an overview of your responsibilities and how you can leverage your expertise:

• Lead the setup, operation, and monitoring of heat-treating equipment including furnaces, quenching tanks, and temperature controls
• Load and unload parts into furnaces, following heat-treating cycles and documented procedures
• Ensure proper process control and part handling to achieve specified hardness and metallurgical properties
• Interpret and follow detailed work instructions, specifications, and quality standards
• Perform inspections to verify that treated parts meet quality and durability criteria
• Maintain and troubleshoot heat-treating equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Train and mentor Heat Treat Operators, promoting adherence to safety and process discipline
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to optimize thermal processes
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment

What We're Looking For

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:

• In-depth knowledge of heat-treating processes, including hardening, tempering, and annealing
• Proven ability to operate, monitor, and maintain heat-treating equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex process instructions
• Experience supervising or mentoring others in a manufacturing or thermal processing environment
• Physical stamina to lift materials, work in high-temperature areas, and stand for long periods
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to workplace safety
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
