Join us at an exciting time as we launch a new die plant facility in Windsor, Ontario! We are seeking a hands-on Gun Drill Operator Lead to oversee and perform gun drilling operations while supporting a team of operators to ensure high-quality output and efficient processes.

 

What You Will Be Doing

 

Here’s an overview of your responsibilities and how you can leverage your expertise:

  • Lead setup and operation of gun drill machines to drill precise holes in materials
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the drilling process to ensure optimal machine performance
  • Train and mentor gun drill operators on standard work procedures and best practices
  • Coordinate daily priorities and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Perform routine maintenance and manage minor repairs as needed
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment
  • Embody, demonstrate, and reinforce the #1ANDRITZway core values and behaviors and promote a positive work environment

What We're Looking For

 

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a keen attention to detail
  • Experience operating and setting up gun drill machines
  • Proficiency with measurement tools and ability to interpret technical documentation
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience in a machining environment
  • Ability to coordinate tasks, support team performance, and troubleshoot issues
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
