General Description

• Design Engineer for Turbine
• Execute Basic & detail design of Turbine for Large Hydro & Service Rehab projects

WHAT YOU’LL DO: Write the purpose for which the job exists

• Basic & Detail design of Turbine assemblies and components.
• Layouts, Drawings, BoMs, Purchase specifications, Calculations, Analysis
• Continuous improvement of product & processes, optimisation
• Technical troubleshooting at shop and site
• Handling customer queries and approvals for Indian and International projects
• Design collaboration and reviews with technical experts in parent company at Europe

YOU’RE GOOD AT: Write the details of the core area of expertise required to possess by the candidate. 

• Solid Mechanical & Hydraulic engineering fundamentals in Hydro Turbine/ Heavy engineering components
• Knowledge & experience of using techniques, CAD, Analytical Calculation tools & processes (NX, SAP, Standards, Calc. tools etc.).
• Knowledge & experience of Structural design, procurement, Quality control & Manufacturing aspects.
• Astute designer’s aptitude & approach   
• Knowledge & experience of dealing with external agencies.

YOU BRING: Experience & Qualifications (Provide information about knowledge required to delve into this role)

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design of Hydro Turbine Design/ Heavy Engineering Industrial components/ equipments using 3D CAD software (NX and TeamCenter preferable)
• Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering design concepts
• Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes involved
• Proactive, avid learner, team player, good communication ability

YOU’LL WORK WITH: Provide details pertaining to the reporting structure (Direct/Indirect).

• Working with Turbine Design lead based on projects
• Reporting directly to Head of Department
