Job Title: Asst. Manager / Manager (Quality Engineer – Machine Shop)

Purpose of the Role:

  • To meet inspection and reverse engineering requirements at site.
  • Support machine shop operations during the third shift.
  • Lead reverse engineering and inspection activities as per process requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with measurement and reverse engineering processes.
  • Prepare inspection check sheets, final inspection reports, and FAT documentation as per ITP requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Management, Design Engineering, and Workshop teams.

Core Expertise Required:

  • Inspection and testing as per process requirements.
  • Preparation of inspection reports and customer protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of machining processes and inspection/testing techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with dimensional measurement and 3D scanning (FARO/Scanner).
  • NDT Level-II qualification in UT, MT, PT, VT (as per ASNT-TC-1A) is an added advantage.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action using quality tools (RCA/8D).
  • Quality audits and compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 & 3834.
  • NCR Management: generation, technical discussions, and closure follow-up.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma (3 Years) or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of experience in heavy engineering or power sector.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Manufacturing & Quality Assurance in heavy industries.
  • Strong knowledge of machining and dimensional measurement techniques.
  • Effective teamwork and independent initiative.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize inspection schedules.

Working Conditions:

  • Direct reporting to Senior Manager – Machine Shop.
  • Required to work in different shifts and at site as needed.
