Therefore, ANDRITZ operates several laboratories worldwide to support the capital and service business with their expertise. Additionally, the capabilities of the laboratories also cover support or initiating of research and development projects to improve our existing technologies or to invent new ones. Further, on-site sampling or analysis on existing plants worldwide together with ANDRITZ colleagues is also part of the functions of a laboratory specialist.


Hence, the work as a Laboratory Specialist in an ANDRITZ lab is a diversified and interesting job with the need of taking over responsibilities and strong self-organizational skills. Life-long learning and the interest on developing new ideas as well as accuracy in doing analysis is a prerequisite for this function. So, to support our innovative team, we are looking for a Full-time Analytical Laboratory Specialist at our laboratory in Växjö, Sweden.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS


•    Chemical and physical analysis for different applications
•    Documentation of results
•    Perform quality assurance for the laboratory together with HSE management
•    Review of analytical methods and processes
•    Chemicals and waste handling together with HSE management
•    Organization of maintenance of laboratory equipment
•    Work closely with process engineering within R&D projects
•    Work closely with process engineering and service team in the proposal, engineering, commissioning and service phase
•    Be part of the commissioning, start-up, and optimization team
•    Support management and controlling with budgeting and invoicing of laboratory works


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS


•    Education: Bachelor Degree in chemistry, chemichal engineering or similar
•    Experience: Practical experience in chemical analysis and operation of standard laboratory instrumentation (e.g. ion chromatography, titration, FTIR …), experience in daily laboratory routines and standards

•    Proactive, structured and solution-oriented way of working
•    Fluent in written and spoken English (min. B2) required, Swedish and other language skills are an advantage 
•    Good MS Office skills
•    Willingness to travel internationally and excitement to work with people from different cultures
