Design Automation Engineer

ANDRITZ is seeking a Design Automation Engineer to join the Hydro Division in Schio. This role focuses on developing and maintaining automation tools and workflows to support engineering design processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, and IT teams to enhance productivity and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain design automation tools and scripts for engineering workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Ensure integration of automation tools with existing CAD and PLM systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to users of automation tools.
  • Document processes and maintain version control of automation assets.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

We are looking for candidates with the following experience and knowledge:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering.
  • Experience with CAD software and design automation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks).
  • Programming skills in Python, VBA, or similar languages.
  • Understanding of engineering design processes and documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills in English (minimum level B2).
