ANDRITZ Feed & Biofuel is seeking a hard-working individual for its Garden City Service & Repair Facility.  The successful candidate’s primary functions will be the Dismantling and Reassembling of Pellet Mill Rolls plus the renovating & re-machining of Pellet Mill Dies. Additionally, uphold the Company’s interests with regards to the confidentiality of commercial and technical information when dealing with customers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform all assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner at all times;
• Receive and evaluate used Pellet Mill Dies for the purpose of restoring working face and tapered inlet;
• Set up, program and operate CNC controlled VBM and grinder to restore working face;
• Set up, program and operate CNC controlled countersink machine to restore tapered inlet;
• Use various types of precision measuring instruments, such as dial indicators, verniers, and micrometers;
• Receive, evaluate, disassemble and reassemble Pellet Mill Roller assemblies using a 200-ton hydraulic and other equipment;
• Use overhead cranes and forklifts for materials handling and loading / unloading trucks;
• Track materials used per shop order, monitor inventory, identify / requisition parts to maintain stock;
• Package Dies and Rollers for return to customer;
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times;
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

This position requires work in a plant/mill environment which may be dusty with varying temperature and noise levels.  Good mobility is required.  Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, kneel, ascend/descend stairs, work in confined spaces, possess excellent sight, hearing, touch, manual dexterity, visual acuity, coordination and balance, and wear necessary PPE.  Must be able to endure extended working hours when required.

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following:

• High School graduate with good mechanical aptitude. 
• Must have knowledge and good use of the English language and grammar, proficient in reading, interpreting Engineering drawings, possess the ability to use precision measuring instruments, and be computer literate. 
• Must have clean driving record, capability of operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Use of Hydraulic Presses, knowledge of CNC machining, knowledge of Pellet Mill maintenance, Pellet Mill Roll Rebuilding. 

Additional Requirements:  Solid work ethic and willingness to learn.  Must be well organized, detailed, self-motivated and versatile, able to prioritize multiple tasks, maintain a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced and busy workshop, have a cooperative attitude to interface with all levels and departments inside/outside the company, work independently and/or as a team member, with minimal supervision. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels (internal/external) both verbally and in writing is essential.
