Brief Description
Safety and health are the company’s highest priority. The QHSE Specialist provides leadership to 
protect employees, contractors, customers, and the environment while ensuring compliance with 
regulatory and corporate requirements.

This role oversees implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of site quality, health, safety, 
and environmental systems, maintaining alignment with U.S. regulations and ISO-based management 
system standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).

Within this safety-first framework, the position supports manufacturing quality performance through 
practical knowledge of welding and metal fabrication processes. This technical capability enables 
effective oversight of nonconformance management, inspection activities, audit readiness, and process 
improvement while preserving the priority of safe operations.

The QHSE Specialist serves as both a compliance steward and operational partner, ensuring 
documented systems are implemented, objective evidence demonstrates conformity, and continuous 
improvement strengthens safety, quality, and environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities 
Safety & Health Leadership
• Work closely with global and regional QHSE teams to ensure adherence to safety and health laws, 
standards, and company policies
• Evaluate workplace safety conditions through inspections and risk analysis
• Lead accident prevention initiatives and hazard mitigation activities
• Investigate incidents using structured root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Champion employee engagement in safety programs and foster a proactive safety culture
• Develop and deliver QHSE training programs
• Support contractor and supplier safety oversight and compliance verification

Quality System & Manufacturing Support
• Maintain quality standards within manufacturing operations and support continuous improvement 
initiatives
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) including documentation, containment, root cause 
investigation, and corrective action verification
• Address internal and customer quality complaints
• Collect, analyze, and report quality performance data and trends
• Support process improvements that enhance product conformity and operational efficiency
• Ensure product realization processes align with documented requirements and customer 
specifications

Technical Fabrication & Welding Support
• Apply working knowledge of fabrication and welding operations to evaluate process adherence, 
interpret drawings and tolerances, assess weld quality indicators, and support inspection readiness
• Verify implementation of controls related to welding procedures and qualifications, dimensional 
verification practices, material traceability and documentation, and inspection records and testing 
coordination
• Collaborate with production teams to identify defect reduction opportunities
• Provide technical context during audits, investigations, and customer inspections related to 
manufacturing quality

Environmental & Sustainability
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and internal standards
• Promote sustainability initiatives including waste reduction, resource efficiency, and environmental 
impact mitigation
• Support monitoring, reporting, and documentation requirements
• Assist in environmental incident preparedness and response
• Collaborate with operations on environmentally responsible practices

Qualifications (Required) 
• Expertise in U.S. health, safety, and environmental laws
• Experience with ISO standards, internal/external auditing, and regulatory compliance
• Knowledge of machinery, precision measuring tools, and quality assurance processes
• Ability to develop and implement safety procedures and training programs
• Strong interest in mechanical work and manufacturing processes
• Data analysis and reporting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build positive work 
relationships across functional lines and to motivate employees; ability to create and sustain key 
relationships quickly and maximize resources to effectively achieve goals
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple products and projects

• Most work performed in a warehouse manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled; 
exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, forklifts, and electricity in the 
manufacturing areas and on job sites; noise level is usually moderate to high requiring use of PPE
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust 
focus; stand, bend, stoop, crouch, walk, use hands and arms to reach for objects, carry, climb, 
balance, speak, and hear
• When performing investigations and safety audits, will work at heights utilizing ladders and manlifts

Other Valued Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Preferred) 
• Post-secondary technical or vocational training program in related field preferred
