Our Automation & Digitalization division is seeking a Drafting Technician for our Richmond, BC office. The successful candidate will perform detailed drafting for industrial design drawing packages while ensuring that project deliverables are of high quality and conform to project standards.
What You Will Be Doing
Here’s an overview of your responsibilities and how you can leverage your expertise:
· Develop drawings using AutoCAD from rough or detailed sketches or specifications such as equipment and room layouts, cable block diagrams, single lines, schematics/wiring diagrams, and field mark-ups
· Coordinate drafting requirements with project managers
· Check project deliverables for consistency and conformity
· Generate transmittals and maintain drawing databases and archives
· Maintain knowledge of internal and customer standards

What We're Looking For
When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:
· Diploma or certificate in drafting preferred, relevant experience considered.
· Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
· Understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics, preferred.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineers and project managers.
· Legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
