Reporting to the President of PFR-NA, the individual has responsibility for regional leadership in the functional areas of manufacturing, safety, quality and process engineering. The VP Operations will be responsible for all manufacturing plants and will work with the regional President to continually refine and implement the strategic and operational plans for the next phase of profitable growth for the region.
Nature and Scope:
Responsible for customer satisfaction, planning/strategy, manufacturing, personnel organization, safety, purchasing (with NA supply chain organization), scheduling, shipping, process engineering, plant engineering, quality, cost and ISO compliance, This position regularly interfaces with executive personnel, middle management, suppliers and customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops operational strategies to achieve overall objectives of PFR-NA.
- Defines the manufacturing strategy, capital planning and personnel development to leading to PFR-NA’s competitive advantage with respect to quality, customer responsiveness and overall cost of ownership.
- Identifies the product requirements (quality, lead time, cost, etc.) and leads the manufacturing staff in achieving these requirements.
- Organizes and structures personnel within Manufacturing Operations.
- Organizes a proactive effort to achieve the highest possible safety objectives by working in conjunction with regional safety management resources
- Ensures all plants maintain ISO or other relevant certifications as required by Andritz
- Ensures regulatory compliance with all environmental statutes
- Sets goals for customer satisfaction and counsels on achievement towards these goals.
Job Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Business or Engineering, Masters preferred, with 8-10 years of related manufacturing management experience. Requirements include excellent verbal and written communication skills, a proven mechanical aptitude, and an independent work ethic. Travel required.
