General Description
Reporting to the Vice President Corporate Accounts, the goal of this position is to lead PMC & Rolls Continuous Improvement Platform and in addition to individual mill projects within PMC & Rolls to meet our customer commitments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Analyze paper and tissue machine process data to validate performance improvements and measure project impact on throughput and financial results for Andritz Fabrics & Rolls
- Utilize established analytics templates to process data, populate reports, and recommend potential enhancements
- Coordinate data collection efforts directly with customers and their teams, under Corporate Account Team oversight
- Maintain and update the Value Results project database, ensuring accuracy, consistency and data integrity
- Identify and implement usability improvements to enhance database functionality
- Support product, sales and corporate accounts teams in developing project trial plans
- Prepare and distribute routine monthly reports (ie – trial summaries, performance updates)
- Coordinate trial activity and documented project results to meet defined CI guarantees within specific Corporations
- Lead customer paper machine process audits and collaborate with internal product stakeholders to evaluate operating conditions, identify performance improvement opportunities, and quantify ROI for optimization initiatives.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor or Graduate degree in Engineering, Paper Science, Statistics and/or extensive production, or process improvement experience within the paper or other related applicable industry
- Greater than five years’ paper industry experience and knowledge of paper machine operations would be beneficial
- Possesses a contemporary approach to business analytics, process improvements and statistical analysis
- Holds strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats
- Has the ability to work independently and collaboratively throughout internal and customer networks
- Requires strong computer skills, including a strong understanding of Word, Excel, and Statistical Analysis Software (Mini-tab, JMP, etc)
- Aptitude and skills for performing in a data driven manner
- Regular travel within the assigned region is required
