The winding supervisor will be responsible of all workers execution on site and at the workshop. He will make sure to prepare all instructions needed for project execution. The winding supervisor is also the resource for any technical questions, support and duties such as logistic, weekly report and any work assigned by the construction manager.

 

The following responsibilities form the core of this role: 

•    Supervise stator winding work of hydro generator stator (rotor in some cases) both at HEPP site and workshop;
•    Assist SE, DE and IE on tooling preparation of stator/rotor winding;
•    Prepare or check manufacturing instructions of stator/rotor winding for projects needs;
•    Offer technical support on stator/rotor winding in the hydro power business;
•    Trouble shoot and repair insulation failures and faults of hydro generators;
•    Prepare or verify, and submit the recording protocols of stator/rotor winding work as per the ITP;
•    Offer support and advice to ITP on stator/rotor winding section;
•    All the duties to installation supervisors, such as LMS (logistics and NCR), daily log, weekly report etc;
•    Other works assigned by the superior.

•    Three (3) or more years of experience in stator/rotor winding or relevant experience;
•    Any electrical diploma would be considered an asset;
•    Understand the manufacturing and assembly process of mechanical and electrical components (product training will be provided);
•    Good English and French – both oral and written;
•    Hands-on mentality;
•    Basic MS Office skills.
