We are currently looking for a Project Quality Coordinator to join our QSSE team. As the Quality Leader for a project, your main responsibilities will be to coordinate quality activities to ensure that the manufacture of HYDRO components/equipment meets ANDRITZ's high quality standards, to ensure good coordination with the project team, and to manage quality interfaces with the customer.

The following responsibilities form the core of this role in our Canadian team.
• Manage the implementation of the quality management system in projects
• Analyze customer requirements (specifications) for quality control and assurance
• Design and deploy project-specific quality strategies and plans
• Participate in the design and monitoring of inspection and testing plans (PIE)
• Collaborate with the purchasing team in the selection, evaluation, and qualification of suppliers
• Coordinate internal and customer validations of technical documents (e.g., PIE, welding procedures, NDT, etc.)
• Coordinate customer inspections
• Occasionally perform inspections
• Manage project quality records/files
• Coordinate reports and non-conformities and follow up on the implementation of corrective or preventive actions
• Conduct in-depth analyses of critical non-conformities (8D – Root Cause Analysis)
• Actively participate in customer meetings, kick-offs, follow-ups, and project closings
• Participate in design reviews
• Participate in pre-production reviews of critical parts at suppliers
• Conduct internal audits (Quality/Continuous Improvement) and participate in customer audits
• Support the development of quality control and assurance tools or processes

• You have a bachelor's degree or technical degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent training
• You have at least five (5) years of experience in quality assurance and inspection
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, CWB, ASME, or other standards is an asset
• Knowledge of common inspection tools (vernier caliper, micrometer, etc.)
• Knowledge of automated measurement methods (FARO/laser tracker/CMM, etc.) is an asset
• Good knowledge of mechanical blueprint reading
• Good knowledge and use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Effective communication skills (focused on internal and external customers)
• Data analysis skills with a focus on continuous improvement
• Must be fully mobile and available to travel within Canada and abroad
• Must be functionally fluent in spoken and written English and French
• Excellent work ethic
• Training or knowledge of health and safety and general construction site work at HYDRO is an asset
