Summary of the role
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILTIES
- Site Quality-Assurance Team management (Recruitment, retention, assignments, training, evaluations, etc.)
- Implement and maintain Andritz Quality Assurance System on all sites in Canada.
- Management of site welding process
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Team Management
- Recruitment and retention of Site Quality-Assurance personnel.
- Assignment of Site Quality Assurance personnel to different sites according to project needs.
- Personnel management.
Site Quality Management
- Update and implementation of site quality processes.
- Contribution to preparation and revision of Project Quality Plans (Site portion)
- Point of contact for customer quality meetings
- Contribution to Installation Kick-off meetings
- Contribution to design reviews from a quality perspective
- Management and storage of site quality documentation at the end of the project.
- Site lessons-learned process.
- Review Installation manuals from a Quality point of view.
Welding process management
- Welding procedures bank management
- Management of production of new procedures
- Point of contact for CWB (Supervisors list, audits)
- Delegation of welding supervisors for different sites.
- Audit welding processes on site
- Technical support for welding.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience;
- At least 10 years of experience with a minimum of 3 managing a team;
- Passion for Quality and integrity;
- Experience working on construction Sites;
- Hydro experience is an asset;
- General knowledge on mechanical measurement devices;
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel);
- Knowledge of AutoCAD;
- Practical knowledge of 3D measuring equipment, an asset;
- On site Safety training;
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) in both French and English;
- Willingness to travel to sites for short periods;
