The Construction Operations Manager is responsible for effective execution of sites. As such, he is responsible for cost, schedule, quality and safety performance of the various site teams. This position is based in the Andritz office in Pointe-Claire with visits at our various project sites, as needed (approx. 50% of the time).
The following responsibilities form the core of this role in our Canadian team.
Main responsibilities:
• Oversees and intervenes on site costs and schedule performance;
o Participates to proposals reviews;
o Actively participates in regular site executions reviews (progress, costs, issues, etc.);
o Takes actions to mitigate impacts of issues and avoid future deviations;
• Manages deployment of all site resources for on-time and effective execution. This includes:
o Site Staff (Site management, supervision, administration, quality, health/safety);
o Site Administration;
o Tooling;
o Infrastructure;
• Manages Labour relations and construction unions relationships;
• Site mobilization;
• Site execution processes and tools.

• Vast experience on Canadian construction unionized sites with responsibilities in managing budget & schedule;
• 10 years working experience in similar role;
• Strong leadership;
• Strong French and English proficiency, both oral and written;
• Hydro-electric project knowledge an asset;
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project);
• Excellent interpersonal skills, team work skills and autonomy;
• Ability to travel to sites for short and medium periods.
