Summary of the role
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shifts: Ability to work Day and Afternoon shifts (overtime as required)

The position of Quality Inspector is within the hydro generator manufacturing group. This team is located at the ANDRITZ Peterborough Generator Center, hosting a modern coil and bar manufacturing facility, with a primary focus on North American projects.

Key Responsibilities
•    Implementation of the independent quality checks (4-eye principle) during production
•    Ensure implementation of the quality control plan during the shift
•    Management of the hold tag process on the shop floor
 
Main Tasks
•    Execution of reliable inspections and tests according to test instructions
•    Perform Hold Points inspections in the shop
•    Pre-packing final inspection
•    Set-up and maintain test equipment
•    Issue Quality Records according to acceptance criteria
•    Escalation to Quality Lead upon non-conforming product
•    Validation of project-specific measuring tools
•    Q-Incoming inspection of material
•    Monitoring of implementation of in-process checks
•    Support and training of operators in measurement competency
 
 

Education and Experience 
•    Secondary or Post-Secondary education;
•    Industrial construction experience, an asset;
•    Familiarity with industrial tooling, an asset;
•    High sense of urgency;
•    Organizational skills;
•    Good data entry skills;  
•    Experience with MS Office;
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills;
•    Prior Quality Inspection work experience an asset;
•    SAP an asset;
•    Motivated, self-starter;
•    Ability to troubleshoot;
•    Demonstrated multi-tasking ability;
•    Team-player
•    Knowledge of French language, an asset;
