The Mechanical Assembler / Millwright is responsible for the assembly and installation of various components into water control gates and ancillary equipment.  Additionally responsible for supporting facility maintenance as required.

 

Mechanical Assembler Job Duties:

•    Read, understand and follow engineering drawings and blueprints of equipment in fabrication
•    Use drawings and procedures for mechanical assembly of components to make sub-assemblies and final equipment assemblies, with the use of various hand and power tools
•    Select the materials and tools required, and plan the sequence of tasks to complete the assembly components/equipment in the most efficient manner
•    Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within/between process stations
•    Perform “hang” and load tests on various components/equipment
•    Maintain safe and clean working environment in compliance with HSE procedures, rules, and regulations
•    Follow general safe work practices and those dictated by internal HSE protocols
•    Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
•    Execute duties as instructed by his/her Supervisor. 

 

Millwright Job Duties:

•    Ability to read, understand and follow engineering/blueprints and manuals for shop equipment 
•    Executes routine maintenance, troubleshooting diagnostics and repair work on shop equipment/tools with electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems with the use of small hand/power tools and multi-meters

 

Requirements

•    Completion of high school diploma
•    Minimum 4 years related experience
•    Manual dexterity, able to climb, push, pull, stand for periods of time and sometimes work in awkward positions to perform various duties 
•    Manually lift up to 30lbs
•    Licensed to work on high voltage electrical systems, up to 600V (Preferred)
