Position Overview 
The Blast Booth Operator uses blast booth equipment to remove excess metal and unwanted materials from metal parts prior to fabrication.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
•    Read and interpret work orders
•    Operate blast booth equipment including wheelabrator, deburrer and shotblaster to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other material from surfaces of metal parts, castings and other metal products
•    May polish metal products to mirror finish
•    May immerse metal products in cleaning solutions
•    Transport raw materials and finished metal products manually or using hoists or other devices
•    Clean work areas and equipment

Requirements
•    Completion of high school
•    At least 4 years related experience
•    Read instructions or diagrams
•    Ensure safety procedures are observed
