GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager the production scheduler at the Neenah plant is primarily responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the scheduling of rolls to support efficient plant operations. This role is integral to maintaining production flow, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and collaborating with operations, logistics, and production teams to meet manufacturing targets

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules for roll production, tracking inventory and movement to ensure accurate and timely supply for all manufacturing lines.
  • Coordinate with plant management and production supervisors to align roll schedules with shifts, production demands, and maintenance requirements.
  • Monitor real-time production activity, anticipate bottlenecks or shortages, and adjust schedules proactively to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Utilize scheduling software and operational tools to generate, update, and communicate daily roll schedules, ensuring transparency across departments.
  • Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to manage roll deliveries, storage, and distribution, supporting smooth workflow throughout the plant.
  • Analyze production data, identify trends, and recommend improvements in roll scheduling processes to enhance operational performance.
  • Respond promptly to operational disruptions or urgent requests, resolving scheduling conflicts and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of roll schedules, changes, and inventory movements for auditing and reporting purposes.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in operations, logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in scheduling, operations coordination, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment is highly valued
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Requires knowledge of computers and must be skilled in the use of Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with scheduling and inventory management software
  • Languages: English
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing production schedules and operational needs
  • This role may require occasional overtime or weekend work to respond to production demands
