The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating site operations including machining, assembly, repair and rebuild, logistics, production planning, and project management in support of regional strategy. This role provides leadership for operational personnel while ensuring effective oversight of the physical facility, equipment, and infrastructure. Through cross-functional coordination and collaboration, the Operations Manager establishes and maintains standards for safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and asset utilization, and drives continuous improvement across operations to ensure reliable execution, operational readiness, and alignment with business objectives.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and manage personnel within core operations functions, including machine shop, assembly, repair and rebuild, logistics, production planning, and project management
  • Provide overall oversight of manufacturing, service, warehouse, and logistics operations
  • Provide site-level oversight of facility operations, including buildings, utilities, equipment assets, and infrastructure
  • Ensure facility readiness, maintenance coordination, and safe operating conditions across operational areas
  • Establish operational targets, priorities, and execution plans aligned with regional and North American strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity
  • Develop, implement, and enforce operational standards for efficiency, asset utilization, and workplace organization
  • Oversee inventory control, material flow, warehouse operations, and logistics performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with non-operations departments to align execution, resolve issues, and support business objectives
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, service providers, and third-party partners
  • Evaluate and negotiate operational supplier and service agreements to improve value and performance
  • Prepare and present operational reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to support management decision-making
  • Provide annual and mid-term operational planning and forecasting
  • Establish and adjust operational procedures to meet production and delivery schedules, including overtime requirements
  • Support localization, optimization, and site improvement initiatives to enhance customer service and operational effectiveness

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or operations environments
  • Experience leading or coordinating operational teams within production, shop, warehouse, or service settings
  • Working knowledge of safety practices, operational workflows, and performance metrics
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work across operational and non-operational teams

 

Other valued experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities (Preferred):

  • Master’s degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related field
  • Experience overseeing multiple operational functions (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, planning, or project execution)
  • Exposure to continuous improvement, Lean, or operational optimization methodologies
  • Experience working with ERP or inventory/production management systems
  • Familiarity with facility operations, equipment assets, or site infrastructure oversight

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:

  • Work is performed in both office and industrial environments
  • Industrial areas may include exposure to noise, machinery, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
  • Ability to move throughout the facility, including standing, walking, and navigating operational areas
  • Occasional lifting consistent with warehouse or industrial environments
  • Required to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
