As the Director of Sales – Paper Service (PSP), North America, you will set the strategic course and manage the performance of the PSP Service Account Managers calling on Paper Mill customers across North America. This role serves as the senior leader collaborating with multiple product groups, leading cross-functional teams with direct reports and interacting with customers at all levels of responsibility.

 

You’ll collaborate closely with HR, Product Management, and Operational Leaders to build scalable service models, develop talent pipelines, and strengthen customer partnerships across North America—all while championing our mission, values, and the #1AndritzWay.

 

Your Focus Will Be:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement long-range business strategies aligned with PSP regional and global objectives.

Operational Excellence

  • SAM Network represents full range of Paper Service product offerings:
    • Stock Preparation
    • Mechanical Pulping / Panelboard
    • Paper Machine Services
    • Automation & Digitalization Products
  • Ensure SAM’s and Product Managers utilize webCRM for tracking and managing open sales opportunities.
  • Champion SAM Network Best Practices such as building effective customer relationships, winning strategies for key opportunities, and hold a full understanding of the Sales Process.
  • Drive performance metrics and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Customer Engagement & Business Development

  • Establish mill visit expectations and incoming order targets by Product Group with each SAM.
  • Maintain and grow Corporate Key Account (CKAM) relationships with assigned customers.
  • Represent Andritz at key meetings, negotiations, and industry events.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and lead high-performing sales and customer service team.
  • Foster a collaborative, people-centered culture rooted in trust and accountability.
  • Establish and manage formal performance evaluation process between SAM’s and Product Managers.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development for direct reports.

Financial Responsibility

  • Oversee Incoming Order Budgets, forecasting, and sustainable growth.
  • Control Sales costs to ensure profitability.

 

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Industrial Management, or Business (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial services or pulp & paper.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and developing high performing sales teams.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems using logic, data, and collaboration.
  • Strong financial literacy and customer-centric mindset.
  • High emotional intelligence with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Experience leading innovation and operational transformation.
