Position Summary

The Diamond Power Company is a leader in energy and environmental products and services for power and industrial markets worldwide. Our headquarters in Lancaster, Ohio is currently seeking an Intern/Co-op to join our Lancaster Operations team out of the Lancaster, Ohio facility. The internship will provide an educational, hands-on experience to students pursuing careers in engineering under the guidance of the Operations Technologies & Design Engineering Manager.

 

Duties

  • Designing software using various languages, frameworks, and technologies
  • Adding features to existing software packages, typically in C# or VB.NET
  • Working to update application documentation
  • Helping setup computers and check out systems
  • Working with other engineers as required to determine software requirements
  • Testing software changes
  • Helping to specify and evaluate software to be purchased
  • Layout, specify, implement, and test networks for controls products

 

Preferred Education Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited two or four-year program, working towards a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related major
  • Current GPA of 3.0 or higher, preferred
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficiency in at least one Object Oriented language is preferred
