Diamond Power is looking for an engineer to support its Diamond Electronics camera systems. This position will be a key contributor to the design, development, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our industrial camera systems product line and associated electro-mechanical systems and controls.
This position will be responsible for:
- System design and component selection for new equipment and features as well as component obsolescence.
- Assist with generating proposals, new order review/writeup, and developing customer specific drawings
- Troubleshooting field and production issue related to the product line
- Key contributor to the related camera system software development and testing.
- Developing and delivering technical training to internal team members and external customers
Skills:
- Knowledge in visible and Infrared optics design – Lenses, Filters, etc.
- Knowledge of the visible, near-infared (NIR), mid-infared (MWIR), and long wave-infared (LWIR) spectrums.
- Knowledge of Singlemode and Multimode fiber optic technology and equipment
- Knowledge of Analog and Digital video components and design
- Knowledge of networking of IP camera systems
- Mechanical and Electrical design experience is a plus
- Knowledge of CSA Certification in support of the product line is a plus
This position requires you to travel up to 15-25% of the time. Working both independently and in a team environment within Diamond and at customer sites.
The qualities we’re looking for are:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Physics with knowledge of Optics and Imaging Science, preferred.
- A highly motivated, self- directed, team oriented, and trustworthy person.
- Ability to lead hands-on: design, development, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
- Ability to work and communicate with all members of a project team.
- Ability to accept technical direction and coaching from senior engineers and managers.
- Excellent computer skills, analytical abilities, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and customer relations skills.
- Experience in Power, Paper, Steel, Glass, and Cement industries is a plus.
- AutoCAD and controls experience a plus.
