Join our Team as Product Manager (m/f/x) and lead the charge in revolutionizing the future of Dry Molded Fiber technology. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and executing product strategies that ensure long-term competitiveness and profitability. You will manage the product lifecycle from the initial sales of new installations through to comprehensive service management, ensuring our products deliver value throughout their entire lifespan. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Service, Technology, Engineering, and Digitalization to achieve product objectives. Dry Molded Fiber is an innovative, sustainable material that allows for the creation of fiber-based products without the use of water, making it an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional methods. Your expertise will drive market differentiation, enhance product value, and incorporate cutting-edge AI solutions to make our products smarter and more interactive. Role & responsibilities:
- Product portfolio management in close cooperation with Product Group Lead
- Customer Journey: Understand the end-to-end customer experience to tailor process solutions effectively.
- Develop and update the product strategy and vision to ensure long-term competitiveness and profitability of the product.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Service, Technology, Engineering and Digitalization to achieve product objectives.
- Align stakeholders around the product vision and ensure it guides all product-related decisions.
- Develop a comprehensive product pricing strategy that aligns with the product groups market strategy.
- Conduct market analysis, competitor research and differentiate the product.
- Elaborate differentiating features for our products and marketing them to enhance product value and increase willingness to pay.
- Develop and launch additional service products in close collaboration with Service, Engineering, and Digitalization.
- Incorporate new artificial intelligence solutions to make our products smarter and more interactive.
- Consider new approaches to sustainability in the field of product development.
- Regularly assess competitors’ technologies, patents, and market positioning.
- Determine which features are most critical for achieving business goals and meeting customer needs.
- Align sourcing guidelines and strategy with key stakeholders “Make or Buy”.
- Identify new markets for products and evaluate potential opportunities.
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap.
- Define technical standards and optimize the product range by reducing components, optimizing costs, and minimizing project expenses (collaborating with the process engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, and sales).
- Analyze the product life-cycle incl. Service and position the product at regular intervals.
- Collect and evaluate product-related information, including assembly/commissioning reports, deviation reports, complaints, order completion meetings, market reports, and order completion protocols.
- Assess the risk, improvement, and innovation potential.
- Determine improvement and innovation needs by considering customer feedback, industry trends, deviation reports, improvement projects, and cost-cutting initiatives, in coordination with Sales and Technology.
- Identify technological advancements.
- Ensure technical specifications are up-to-date and arrange reviews or updates.
- Develop product marketing and sales materials, such as brochures, sales arguments, or sales stories, in collaboration with the marketing department, with a focus on technical content.
- Contribute to scientific publications, including lectures and articles in trade journals, in collaboration with customers.
- Comply with all relevant company and statutory health and safety procedures and guidelines.
You have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:
- Education / Qualification:
- University Degree in mechanical or process engineering
- Professional Experience:
- Relevant professional experience in Nonwoven, automotive or hygiene industry
- Relevant experience in the Sales or Product Management
