Reporting to the Regional Manager, the goal of this position is to support the regional team and its customers on their operation challenges through application of best industry practices. This role offers the opportunity to expand to future sales management responsibilities on either rolls or paper machine clothing business segments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize operating efficiencies of customers’ equipment utilizing proprietary modeling software programs.
  • Ensure trouble-free runs of Andritz products through proper selection to meet application needs and follow-up inspection services during operation and / or machine down-days.
  • Work with customers to solve machine operating problems through innovative applications and industry best practices.
  • Develop strong inter-reliant relationships with customers through quality on-site service and social interaction.
  • Provide customer feedback to manufacturing plants, applications team, research, and sales management.
  • Communicates field activity, including sales opportunities, inter-company items, and competitive issues to the appropriate Regional Manager.
  • Manage an expense budget within the guidelines provided.
  • Take ownership of a specified territory and devise strategies to meet sales objectives.

 

  Requirements:

 

  • Education and Experience: Degree in Engineering or Business preferred, and/or extensive (10+ years) maintenance, production, or sales experience within the paper or other related applicable industry.
  • Languages: French / English
  • Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proven mechanical aptitude, and a strong entrepreneurial drive.
  • Requires strong computer skills, including a strong understanding of Word, Excel, and general database management.
  • Extensive travel within the assigned region is required.
