BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This position holder has the overall responsibility and accountability for developing, overseeing, and managing Division’s overall supply chain of critical components to support division strategy and supply chain management targets achievement. They are responsible for developing, communicating, and implementing winning category strategies for managed subcategories. They strive to develop state of art supply chain of critical components in cooperation with all FB division and Multi Locations, while maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, communicate, manage, and implement category strategy for managed subcategories and for this purpose: analyze spend (PVO) related data, segment purchased items to consistent purchase categories, organize and coordinate cross-functional team involved in strategy development and implementation, influence and manage alignment of strategy with stakeholders expectations, analyze current suppliers in terms of performance, competitiveness, compliance and sustainability, analyze market opportunities, develop, communicate and implement category strategy and its objectives.
- Execute category strategy, deliver targeted results and this way secure continuous improvement of managed categories.
- Implement actions to optimally leverage category suppliers globally
- Pre-qualify new suppliers in SRM system and hold data and information related to suppliers and agreed commercial conditions accurate and updated in all relevant information systems and databases.
- Manage projects resulting from category strategy and regarding that: create business cases, present, track and report project deliverables against planed achievements, track project progress, assign responsibility and tasks to team members, manage stakeholders and motivate team members to deliver project targets.
- Source components on market and for this purpose: understand and assess specifications and needs of stake holders, challenge specifications in terms of design to cost and design to manufacturing, conduct market analysis, run RFI and RFQ processes, select and award best suppliers to become Andritz FB preferable suppliers for the components and categories.
- Negotiate and contract agreements with suppliers in line with targets and company needs.
- Build and manage relationship with key suppliers to enhance added value.
- Manage performance, competitiveness, sustainability, and compliance of suppliers over the life of the contract, monitoring both Andritz and Supplier adherence to contractual agreements.
- Drive total cost of ownership reduction, through joint process improvements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively engage with Engineering to optimize design requirements reflecting suppliers process capabilities and reduce risk on creating supplier dependance for new product introductions.
- Provide necessary support to other areas of organization regarding managed suppliers and subcategories.
