Job Title

Service Engineer – Animal Feed and Biofuel Production Sites

 

Ideally located in the Northeast of England, primarily based in East Yorkshire/North Lincolnshire working remotely across the UK and Ireland reporting to Andritz Feed and Biofuel, Hull, UK, the position will join our team of Engineers. Majority of the time working at customer sites mainly in the UK but also internationally if required.

Reporting to

Team Lead Service, UK.

Essential

Mechanical education with experience in servicing and mounting of mechanical drive components including gearboxes and bearings of large industrial scale. Minimum NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering desirable.

Knowledge of basic Electronics and Hydraulic is an advantage.

Knowledge of feed milling process an advantage.

Must be used to working in a demanding heavy industrial environment.

Physically fit, able to lift minimum 20kg unaided

Lifting / slinging / installing components of up to 5 tonnes

Confined space training desirable.

Welding and fabrication experience desirable.

Responsibilities

You will be part of a well- established team of Service Engineers in the UK and other European countries supporting our customers mainly in the UK.

Qualifications & Experience

You have experience from a similar job ideally from a Feed Mill or Biofuel / Waste Processing background:

  • Producing and completing Proactive Preventative Maintenance programs for the equipment
  • Good knowledge and experience of performing lifting and slinging tasks
  • Practical Mechanical experience
  • Service minded and customer centric
  • Flexible on working hours
  • Willing to travel and have driver’s License B
  • Familiar with MS Office tools
  • Adept at basic IT literacy for reporting and recording purposes
